With preproduction of Shiftling firmly in our rearview mirror, we’re looking for an artist to help us ship the game. We can offer great people to work with, an exciting project, remote working (in Malaysia) or office space in Kota Kinabalu or Kuala Lumpur, though being able to work with us in KK is ideal.

Assistant Artist

You’ve got a keen eye for form, consistency and color, preferably with experience working under an Art Director or on collaborative projects in the past. You combine strong technical ability with an ambitious artistic sense, and you want to be part of a team creating stunning, immersive worlds and memorable characters. You’ll be tasked primarily with assisting the creation of motion comics and certain promotional sources for the game.


Core responsibilities

•Make concept art following the guidelines established in the Art Bible under the direction of the Art Director

•Be responsible for consistent artwork quality

•Helping with the production of motion comics

•Assisting the Art Director with various game-related and promotional work.

Requirements and Skills

•Advanced knowledge of Photoshop or Illustrator.

•Working with a tablet should be second nature.

•Ability to rapidly adopt the official art guide.

•Understanding of technical, software and time limitations and an understanding of how to produce work that doesn’t sacrifice quality while optimizing for them.

•Able to plan, conduct and review work with minimal management.

•Generate self-motivation, and bring high levels of creativity, flair and passion to their role.

•Fluency in English is a must, and knowledge of Malay, Chinese or Korean would be great.

•Handle feedback well.


•Mental fortitude to play the Game of Thrones 2nd Edition when required.
